Powderhorn Ski Area



Powderhorn ski area runs of the beautiful Grand Mesa and is a top rated resort. The mountain is diverse with slopes for beginners, experts and everyone in between. The scenery is beautiful and the terrain is awesome.

The Mountain

With a 9.850 ft summit and 1,650 ft of vertical there is plenty of drop at the Powderhorn ski resort. There are 4 lifts on 1600 acres of terrain with 600 of those acres groomed. There are two terrain parks with the Tyro Park being a great place for beginners to practice some snowboarding tricks and The Horn park for advanced riders.

This is a kid friendly vacation spot with childrens lessons and rentals. It is also affordable, costing an adult $53 per day and $539 for the season. They also have several discount lift tickets available for those who qualify.

The Resort

There are many lodging options in the area but the ski-and-stay is a steal with reasonable room rates and half-price lift tickets. You will stay on the mountain at the Inn at Wildewood with this fantastic deal.

Inside the Inn at Wildewood there is the Skiers' Union Cafe and Bar. For other mountain dining options consider the Trader Cafe or Sunset Grille and Bar.

Location

Powderhorn is located on the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway 35 miles east of Grand Junction. The Grand Junction airport offers easy access to this beautiful area.
