Steamboat Springs Ski Area The Steamboat Springs Ski Area is the place to be if you like awesome terrain in a Rocky Mountain setting. It is ideal for family ski vacations and offers excellent Colorado ski packages.
The Mountain There are 3 mountains with the tallest, Mt. Werner, coming in at 10,568 ft. The vertical is 3,668 ft. with 165 trails on 2,965 acres. The terrain park is awesome and the town setting is beautiful. The terrain is diverse with something for the beginner, intermediate and advanced skiier and snowboarder. They have an excellent ski and snowboard school and the resort offers great lodging options and fine dining on the mountain. The Town Steamboat is a classic western town. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. The Yampa River runs through the downtown and it is not uncommon to see wader clad fisherman walking the streets in the summer and people hauling their snow gear through town in the winter. The Routt National Forest is located near the town and the recreational opportunities are abundant.
